Sheet Vinyl (often called "linoleum")
The Carpet Store offers a complete line of sheet vinyl from every manufacturer available. Sheet vinyl is the original form of vinyl flooring that comes in long rolls of vinyl that are cut to fit and glued to the floor. Though some manufacturers say you can loose lay their products, i.e. put down the vinyl without any adhesive, The Carpet Store installs all sheet vinyl products with manufacturer approved adhesives for years of trouble free use.
Plank Vinyl
The Carpet Store offers a complete line of vinyl plank from every manufacturer available. Vinyl planks are strips of vinyl, generally made to resemble stirps of wood flooring. Most of these are adhered to the subfloor directly with glue or other adhesive, but some use a peal and stick adhesive that bonds each strip to the next (the plank floor is not actually adhered to the subfloor at all). This latter type of floor is often put down by do it yourselfers with good results.
Self-Adhesive Vinyl Squares
The Carpet Store offers a complete line of vinyl squares from every manufacturer available. The vinyl squares are generally made to resemble stone, but some represent wood flooring as well. The back is covered with a plastic or paper sheet that protects adhesive until the square is ready to be applied. This is the easiest vinyl flooring to lay for DIY purposes, but often does not have long lasting results (thoug there are some newer products that come with lifetime warranties even).
